G. Donald Archer

Mr. G. Donald Archer, age 73, of Buckeye Road, Tennille, died Monday, December 19, 2011 at his residence. A graveside memorial service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00am at the Zeta Cemetery in Tennille with military honors. Rev. Bill Moody will officiate.

Mr. Archer was born in Washington County the son of the late Grover Mitchell Archer and the late Katie Mildred Tanner Archer. He worked as an Insurance agent for United Insurance of America Macon before returning home to Washington County where he was a store owner. Mr. Archer served in the US Army as well as the National Guard and was a member of the Bethesda Christian Church.

Survivors are; his children, Donna Archer Parker (Ollie) of Wrightsville, Donald Glenn Archer (Lisa) of Tennille and Amy Archer Treadwell of Washington, grandchildren, Elizabeth Sheppard (Edward) of Tennille, Tyler Parker of Wrightsville, Megan Archer and Austin Archer both of Tennille, and Emily Treadwell and Ella Treadwell both of Washington, and his sister Dean A. McNeely of Tennille.

The family will receive friends at graveside before and after the service on Wednesday.
