George Duane Mccrary, Jr.

Mr. George Duane McCrary, Jr., age 76, of 1622 Highway 102 in Warthen died Monday December 24, 2007 in an Augusta hospital following a brief illness. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday December 28 in the Washington County Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Rick Freeman will officiate.

Mr. McCrary was a native of Bibb County, Georgia, the son of the late George Duane McCrary, Sr. and the late Mary McGee McCrary. He was a former store manager for Rhodes Furniture Company and a retired sales representative for Flooring Distributors, Inc. Mr. McCrary served in the United States Army and was a former member of the Twin City Country Club. He was the husband of the late Elizabeth Barton Bate McCrary.

Survivors are his daughters, Donna McCrary (Mark O.) Bennett of Brunswick and Kelly McCrary (Jamie) Reynolds of Sandersville, three grandchildren, Tyler Reynolds, Hunter Reynolds and Elizabeth Henley.

The family suggests that donations be made in memory of Mr. McCrary to the American Cancer Society, P. O. Box 632, Sandersville, Georgia 31082.
