Georgia Kaelin Killebrew

Ms. Georgia Kaelin Killebrew, age 77, of Ridgeland Drive, Sandersville, died Saturday, November 28, 2009 at the Washington County Regional Medical Center. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday at 2:00pm at the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Jim Dominey will officiate.

Ms. Killebrew was born in Custer County Nebraska the daughter of Anna Petersen Kailen and the late George Kaelin. She was a 1953 graduate of the Nebraska Methodist Hospital School of Nursing. Ms. Killebrew spent her career as a registered nurse retiring from the Veterans Administration and later working at the Washington County Regional Medical Center. She also worked as a medical missionary in Haiti.

Survivors are her children Ann O’Brien Cooper (Gary) of Milledgeville and Tim J. Killebrew (Anne) of Sandersville, her mother Anna P. Kailen of Broken Bow Nebraska, one brother, Karl Kaelin of also of Broken Bow and sisters Jo Anne K. Bean of St. Marie Idaho and Helen K. Johnson of Ravendale Washington.

The family will receive friends following the memorial service at the funeral home.
