Jerry Duggan of Grovetown, GA passed away on November 9, 2025, at the VA Medical Center in Augusta, after an extensive illness. He was born on May13, 1943, to the late A.C. and Elizabeth Walker Duggan of Warthen, GA. He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Warthen. Jerry was a 1961 graduate of Washington County Highschool and served with the Army National Guard of Georgia, 111th Signal Battalion at Fort Meade, Maryland during Bay of Pigs Invasion. He was a retired electrician and owner of Duggan Electrical Company.
Jerry was predeceased by brother, Archie Duggan, James Duggan, Lynwood Duggan and Billy Duggan. He is survived by a brother, Buford Duggan of Augusta and a sister, Brenda Duggan Wheatley (Douglas) of Evans, Ga. He is also survived by a special step-granddaughter, Ashley Hall and her children, Conner and Madison Hall of Augusta. Other family members include an uncle, Carroll Walker of Macon, GA; sisters-in-law, Lois Duggan of N. Augusta, SC and Debra Duggan of Wrens, GA, and many nieces and nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be on Sunday, November 15th, at 2:00 pm at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Warthen, with Dr. Brandon Key officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until the hour of service at the church.
