Mrs. Geraldine E. Yarbrough, age 68, of 203 Breezy Hill Road in Davisboro died Tuesday June 2 in the Washington County Regional Medical Center in Sandersville.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Friday June 5 in the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sandersville with burial in the Davisboro City Cemetery. The Rev. Matthew Pierson and Rev. Jerry Pittman will officiate. Pallbearers will be Trippi Yarbrough, Roy Yarbrough, James Yarbrough, Dewey Holton, Chris Williamson and Mike Simms.
Mrs. Yarbrough was a native of Richmond County, Georgia, the daughter of the late Luther DeKalb Funderburg and the late Amanda James Funderburg. She had resided in Davisboro for a number of years and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church. She was predeceased by two sisters, Lois Irby and Emily Kirkland.
Survivors are her husband of 52 years, Calvin Wiley Yarbrough of Davisboro, four sons, Calvin Boyd (Sue) Yarbrough of Eatonton, Anthony Wiley Yarbrough of Davisboro, Troy Lee (Kristie) Yarbrough of Davisboro and Travis Brian (Angie) Yarbrough of Davisboro, nine grandchildren, Amanda Yarbrough, Heather Yarbrough, Holly Yarbrough, Tammy Strickland, Kay Brown, Rachel Michelle Yarbrough, T. J. Yarbrough, Jr. , Linda Yarbrough and Holden Yarbrough, Sisters, Mildred Shipley of Gibson, Helen (Tom) Yarbrough of Augusta and Elizabeth Reese of Dearing, a brother, L. D. (Betty) Funderburg of Gibson, and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. on Thursday evening.
