Gloria Ann Brantley, a faithful Jehovah’s Witness, died at her home on Tuesday, May, 23, 2023 at the age of 86. Services to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at the Sandersville Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. A graveside committal service will also be held on Saturday, May 27 at 4:00 p.m. in Middle Georgia Memory Garden Cemetery in Macon, Ga. Brother Jimmy Griswell and Brother Billy Baldwin will Officiate. Serving as pallbearers will be Joel Brantley, Chuck Pittman, Calab Pittman, Luke Pittman, Donald Wiley, Alphonso Middlebrook. Honorary pallbearer will be Kirk Brantley. A visitation will be held on Friday, May 26 from 5-6 pm at May & Smith Funeral Home.
Gloria was born to Luther and Mary Sue Dupree in Macon, on January 30, 1937. She was married to William Charles Brantley on January 30, 1954 and had two children, Gene and Janice. Gloria was baptized as on of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1971 and enjoyed spending time helping people understand Bible truth and served for many years as a regular pioneer minister.
Gloria leaves to cherish her memory her son, Joseph Eugene Brantley (Susan) of Canton, GA and Janice Marie Sawley (Richard Baker) of Macon, GA; grandsons, Chuck Pittman (Callie), Joel Brantley (Dona), and Kirk Brantley (Harley); great grandchildren, Caleb and Luke Pittman, Hayden, Hannah and Emma Jean.
She will also be missed by her friend, Leigh Kendrick, and many friends from Kingdom Halls in Macon, Cartersville and Sandersville. Gloria was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
