Greg Lee Wiley

Mr. Gregory Lee Wiley, age 58, of Davisboro, died Monday, December 18, 2017, at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, December 21 at First Baptist Church of Sandersville with burial in Washington County Memorial Gardens Cemetery.  Reverend Lee Lacey, Reverend Dewain French, and Mr. Derek Durden will officiate.

Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Cabe, Billy Brown, Chris Irwin, Jimmy Prince, Mel Daniel, Perry Bussell, Brandon Lindsey and members of the Georgia State Patrol. Pallbearers will be the Georgia State Patrol Honor Guard.

Mr. Wiley was born in Paintsville, Kentucky but grew up in Grovetown, Georgia.  He was retired from the Georgia State Patrol as a Sergeant First Class. He was a graduate of the Georgia State Patrol Command College.   Sgt. Wiley was a former Post Commander of Georgia State Patrol Post 33 in Milledgeville.  He was a member of the Harlem Masonic Lodge #276 F&AM. Mr. Wiley was a member of First Baptist Church of Sandersville.

Survivors are his daughter, Natalie Wiley of Sandersville; son, Hunter Wiley of Davisboro; granddaughter, Hali Wiley; mother and father, Bobby R. Wiley and Betty A. Wiley of Grovetown; sister, Debbie Wiley Huffman and her husband Jim of Grovetown.

The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville from 4:00 until 6:00 P.M. on Wednesday.

The family suggest donations be made to GDWB, P.O. Box 637, Sandersville, Georgia 31082 for an educational fund for his children.
