H. L. "Hank" Akridge

Mr. H.L. “Hank” Akridge, age 80, of Peacock Road, Tennille, Georgia passed away on March 30, 2022 at his residence. A service to celebrate his memory will be held on a later date.

Mr. Akridge was born April 25, 1941, the son of the late James A. Akridge and the late Nina Mae Durden Akridge. He retired from Thiele Kaolin Company after 32 years as a heavy equipment operator, spending most of his time operating the drag line. In his spare time Mr. Akridge enjoyed doing mechanic work, especially on antique cars. He was a veteran of the United States Army. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, James E. Akridge.

Mr. Akridge is survived by his son, Lewis Akridge of Swainsboro; sisters, Edna Johnson of Oconee, Louise Whitehurst of Mt. Dora, FL, Lula Mae Davidson of Locust Grove, and Janice Rochester of Trenton; and many nieces and nephews.
