Harold "Hal" Denton

Mr. Harold “Hal” Denton, age 62 of Tennille, passed away at his residence on Friday, October 21, 2022. A graveside service to celebrate his life will be held on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at 2:00 P.M. in Zeta Cemetery, Tennille. Rev. Elaine Denton will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.

Hal was born on March 30, 1960, the son of the late Billy Denton and the late Delia Denton. He was a simple man who lived a simple life. Hal worked most of his life as a pump man for Sandersville Well Company and he was one of the “best pump men around.” He loved to fish, and enjoyed listening to the song, “Slow Ride” by Foghat. In addition to his parents, Hal is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Abbigail Jackson.

Hal is survived by his children; Amanda Collins, Holly Jackson, and Charlie Denton (Janna) all of Wrightsville, grandchildren; Hayden Denton, Alex Jackson, Rayne Collins, Xander Denton, Emberlynn Denton, and Colby Jackson; brothers, David Denton (Elaine) and Russell Denton (Laura) both of Tennille, and nieces and nephews.

The family will be at the home of David Denton, 519 E. 2 ^nd Avenue, Tennille, GA 31089.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the Hal Denton Funeral Support Fund, 519 East 2 ^nd Avenue, Tennille, Ga 31089.
