Harriet Gilbert Jones

Mrs. Harriet Gilbert Jones, age 62, of Tennille, died on Sunday, July 19,2020 following a brief illness. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 23 at 11:00 A. M. at the Hitchcock Barn on Old Savannah Road. Burial will be private. Reverend Craige Foskey will officiate.

Mrs. Jones was a native of Jacksonville, Florida, but had lived in Tennille most of her life.  She was the daughter of the late Harry Clayton Gilbert, Jr. and the late Kathleen Smith Gilbert.  Mrs. Jones was a homemaker and a member of Tennille United Methodist Church. She was devoted to her husband and her children and was just a kind easy going mother. Harriet loved the outdoors, growing her flowers and feeding her birds.

Survivors are her husband, Hal Jones of Tennille; daughter, Deborah Lee Jones Robinson and her husband Tim of Keysville; son, Clayton Jones and his wife Andrea of Tennille; and sister, Kathleen Gilbert Gaskins and her husband Henry of Jacksonville Florida.

The family will be at May and Smith Funeral Home from 2:00 until 3:00 P.M. on Wednesday.
