Mr. Harry Glover, age 82, of Tennille died Thursday September 3 in Milledgeville following an extended illness.
A memorial service for Mr. Glover will be held on Saturday September 12 at 11:00 A.M. in the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sandersville. The Rev. Lee Lacey will officiate.
Mr. Glover was a native of Emanuel County, Georgia, the son of the late Fred Glover and the late Nancy Ruth Kennedy Glover. He was the husband of the late Barbara Harben Glover. He was predeceased by a brother, Fred Glover. Mr. Glover was a former ticket agent for Central of Georgia Railroad. He was a retired sales person for Smith Sheppard Inc. . Mr. Glover was an intelligence officer in the United States Army. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sandersville and had received his 50 year apron as a Master Mason in the Hamilton Masonic Lodge #58.
Survivors are his daughters, Debora Glover Slay of Milledgeville and Sandra Glover Pugliese of Atlanta, two grandchildren, Ellen Pate and Abbie Pate, two sisters, Mary Glover Stephens of Tampa,Fla. and Catherine Glover Cox of Roswell, a brother, Harold Glover of Milledgeville.
The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Masonic Children’s Home, P. O. Box 5601, Macon, Georgia 31294-9965.
May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville is in charge of the arrangements.
