Harry Thomas "Tom" May

Mr. Harry Thomas “Tom” May, age 86, of Plant City, Florida died Thursday,
June 6, 2013, following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, June 11th, in the First Presbyterian Church of Sandersville with burial in the Brownwood Cemetery in Sandersville. The Reverend Claude Walker will officiate.

Mr. May was a native of Washington County, the son of the late Orlando Jewell May and the late Ruth Hutchinson May. He was the husband of the late Claire Martin May and was predeceased by his sister and brother-in-law, Jane May Brooker and John “Jack” Brooker of Sandersville. Mr. May was a retired general contractor. He was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Survivors are: his daughters, Nancy May Finn and Carolyn May McDonald both of Plant City; three step-children, Hedy Maus of Gainesville, FL, Carl Maus and John Maus both of Tallahassee, FL; thirteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Rose Ledford of Vidalia and Ruth Holland of Charlotte, NC., and several nieces and nephews.

The family will greet friends at the First Presbyterian Church of Sandersville from 10:00 A.M on Tuesday until the hour of service at 11:00 A.M.
