Mr.. Harry James Williams,Sr., age 69, of Tennille died on Thursday July 14 in a Macon hospital following an extended illness.
Memorial services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday July 17 in the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sandersville. Reverend Maxie Threatt will officiate.
Mr.. Williams was a native and life long resident of Washington County, the son of the late Harry Herschel Williams and the late Dorothy Mae McCoy Williams. He was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Lamar Williams. Mr. Williams was a retired inspector for Lapp Insulator Company and an automobile mechanic.
Survivors are his wife, Tillie Screws Williams of Tennille, his children, Sherrie Williams Wimbley and her husband Chester of Tennille, Harry J. Williams, Jr. and his wife Teresa of Milledgeville, Amy Michelle Williams of Oconee and Quaniqua Marquette Williams of Tennille, six grandchildren, Ashley Lee Bridges, Keely Shaye Wimbley, James Miller, Semaj Williams, Jemaj Williams and Nemaj Williams, five great grandchildren, James Miller, Alexis Miller, Trinity Miller, Natalie Bridges and Zachary Bridges, two sisters, Dorothy McDonald of Oconee and Betty Wood of Tennille.
The family will greet friends from 2:00 pm on Sunday until the hour of the service
May and Smith Funeral Directors in Sandersville is in charge of the arrangements.
