Mrs. Hazel Logue Jackson, age 81, of Harrison, died Tuesday, December 24, 2019 at Pine Pointe Hospice in Macon following an extended illness. A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 27 th at 3:00 p.m. at Harrison Baptist Church with burial in the Church Cemetery. Reverend Andy Carter and Reverend Nathan Adams will officiate. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of service also on Friday at the church.
Mrs. Jackson was a native of Washington County, the daughter of the late Luther R. Logue and the late Evelle Franks Logue. She is preceded in death by her husband Julius W. Jackson and her brother Wayne Logue. Mrs. Jackson was a retired self-employed wedding coordinator, bridal consultant and caterer. She was also a former floral designer. She previously worked for the Washington County Food Stamp Program as the office manager. Mrs. Jackson was a member of Harrison Baptist Church where she served as the former church clerk and former primary Sunday school teacher. She was a member of the Sisters Home Missions.
Survivors include her daughter, Julie J. Kitchings and her husband Jim of Tennille; grandchildren, Jarrett J. Kitchings and his wife Paula of Statesboro and Jenna L. Kitchings and her fiancé Todd Taylor of Bluffton SC., great grandchildren, Jaci Dawn Kitchings and Colton Thad Kitchings and her sister-in-law, Helen Logue of Twin City.
The family will be at 242 Church Street in Harrison.
