Hazel Lanthrip Sanders

Mrs. Hazel Lanthrip Sanders, age 78, of Tennille died Thursday, August 4, 2011 in the Oconee Health Care following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, August 6th, in the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sandersville. The Rev. Bobby Williford
will officiate with burial in the Zeta Cemetery in Tennille.

Mrs. Sanders was a native and life ling resident of Washington County, the daughter of the late James Monroe Lanthrip and the late Nettie Hall Lanthrip. She was the wife of the late Charlie Sanders. Mrs. Sanders was a retired cashier. She was a member of the Kendall Heights Church of God. Survivors are her daughter; Diane Phillips and her husband Glenn of Tennille, two sons; James Michael Sanders and his wife Amanda of Tennille and Stevie Glenn Sanders and his wife Teresa of Sandersville; eleven grandchildren, Clay Boone, Leiloni Marie Sanders, Jered Cornish, Keano Floyd, Haliegh Orr, Megan Ryan Cramer, Kaitlin Paige Sanders, Leslie Anne Sanders, Jonah Glenn Sanders, Dalton Lee Davis and Jordan Conner Davis; three great-grandchildren, Landon Smith, Christian Smith and Cole Bryan.

The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home from 1:00 P.M. until the Hour of Service on Saturday.
