Mrs. Helen Sanders Dye, age 80, of 1045 Riddleville Road in Sandersville died Wednesday morning July 9 in the Extended Care Facility following an extended illness.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday July 12 in the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sandersville with burial in the Washington County Memorial Gardens. The Rev. J. Emory Lindsey and Rev. Jim Dunn will officiate. Pallbearers will be Randy Lord, Doyle Sanders, Larry Story, Ben Williams, Charles Reynolds and Matthew Douglas.
Mrs. Dye was a native and life long resident of Washington County, the daughter of the late Floyd Sanders and the late Lola Mae Etheridge Sanders. She was a retired inspector for Washington Manufacturing Company and J. P. Stephens Company. She was member of the First Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors are her husband, Clifford C. Dye of Sandersville, her children, Jimmy C. Dye of Tennille and Tammy Dye Kelly of Sandersville, son in law, Scott Kelly, grandchildren, Jason Dye, Joshua Dye, Raven Helena Roberts, and Dylan Kelly, a great grandson, Cody Dye, two sisters, Ruby Lord of Tennille and Dessie Story of Forsyth.
The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Friday evening. The Family suggest that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 301 Mulberry Street, Suite 201, Macon, Georgia 31201.
