Mrs. Helga Meure Pulliam, age 71, of 6238 Highway 15 South in Tennille died Thursday February 7 in Serenity Place in Dublin following an extended illness.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday February 9 in the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sandersville with burial in the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. L. T. Logue will officiate. Pallbearers will be Dennis Smith, William Smith, Eric Reynolds, Danny Yates, Shawn Brooks, Buddy Pulliam, Phil Wright and Tommy May.
Mrs. Pulliam was a native of Wiesbaden, Germany, the daughter of the late Franck Meure and Matelda Meure. She had resided in Washington County for many years and was of the Catholic faith. She was the first store manager for Dollar General in Sandersville and she had previously worked for Maxway. She was the former owner operator of Helga’s Discount Store.
Survivors are her husband, Joe Pulliam of Tennille, two daughters, April Stephens Brooks and her husband Shawn of Sandersville, Siglinda Preston and her husband Dave of Vero Beach, two sons, Glenn Pulliam and his wife Pat of Sandersville and Larry Pulliam and his wife Robin of San Antonio, a grandson, Colton Brooks, two sisters, Ursula Freiss and Giesela Camfael
both of Germany.
The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. on Friday.
The family suggests that donations be made to Serenity Place, 504 Parker Dairy Road, Dublin, Georgia 31021.
May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville is in charge of the arrangements.
