Henrietta Bussell Lewis

Ms. Henrietta Bussell Lewis, age 68, of Sandersville, died Monday, February 18, 2013 following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February the 21st at 2:00pm at the Sandersville United Methodist Church with burial in the Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery in Warthen. Rev. Dr. Joe Buck IV will officiate. Pallbearers will be Trey Sheppard, Chris Irwin, David Hamby, Gordon Hamby, Barry Shurling, Roger Moore, Jon Moore and Jonathan Bussell. Honorary groups will be the Seekers Sunday School Class and the Mamie Tarbutton Circle.



Henrietta was born in Washington County, the daughter of the late Henry Warthen Bussell and the late Evie Irene Brantley Bussell. She was a member of the Washington County High School Class of 1963 and retired from the Geo. D. Warthen Bank after 37 years of service. Henrietta also formerly worked as a hostess at the Villa South Restaurant. She was a member of the Sandersville Untied Methodist Church, the Seekers Sunday School Class and the Mamie Tarbutton Circle.



Survivors are; her children, Michelle Lewis (John) Hood of Milledgeville, and Michael Kenneth (Cara) Lewis II of Sandersville, her step son Eric Lewis of Atlanta, grandchildren, Morgan Taylor Jones, Daniel Jones, Elainie Lewis, Karlee Lewis and Jhett Lewis, one great granddaughter, Ava Marae Roberts, sisters, Edith B. Meade and Rachel B. Summerlin both of Warthen and brothers, Henry O. (Phyllis) Bussell of Warthen and Benny (Mary Ellen) Bussell of Sandersville.



The family will be at the residence of Michael and Cara Lewis 845 E. McCarty St. Sandersville and they will receive friends Wednesday from 6 to 8pm at the May and Smith Funeral Directors in Sandersville.
