Henry Franklin Martin

Mr. Henry Franklin Martin, age 77, of 1160 Highway 68 North in Tennille died Sunday morning November 6 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday November 9 in the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sandersville. The Rev. Joe Buck will officiate. Burial will follow at 2:00 P.M. in the Georgia War Veterans Cemetery in Milledgeville with military honors.

Mr. Martin was a native of Jasper Florida, the son of the late Ruben Ezra Martin and the late Dell Louella Smith Martin. He was a retired Master Sergeant with the United States Air Force with over twenty years of service as a flight engineer. Mr. Martin was a former fixed base operator for the Toccoa Aviation, Stephens County Airport for over 25 years.

Survivors are his wife, Rita Bailey Martin of Tennille, two daughters, Carol M. McVeigh and her husband Bruce of Ft. Hood, Texas and Sherrie M. McCormack and her husband Jeffery of Toccoa, a son, Henry Jaye Martin of Sarasota, FL, three grandchildren, Megan McVeigh, Kaitlyn McVeigh and Ashley Lorraine McCormack, a great granddaughter, Layla Mae Talley, two sisters, Trudy Clark of Miami and Edith Terrell of Monroe.

The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville from 10:00 A.M. Wednesday until the hour of service.
