Henry Grady Pickelsimer

Lt. Col. (Retired) Henry Grady Pickelsimer age 67 of Smyrna, Georgia, a native of Sandersville, Georgia died Thursday May 7, 2015. He is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Pickelsimer and his brother, Jimmie Pickelsimer.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 12 , 2015, in the Jonquil Chapel of Castellaw Funeral Home with Minister Chuck Scarborough officiating . Entombment will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Northcutt Baptist Cemetery in Ellijay, Georgia. Full Military Honors will be conducted at the funeral home. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to service time Tuesday at the funeral home.

He is survived by a step-son and daughter-in-law, Bryan and Kathy Bittle of Smyrna, Georgia; sisters, Doris Jackson, of Guyton, Georgia, and Jeanette McCoy of Sherwood , Arkansas; and 3 step-grandchildren , Samuel Helton , Scarlett Bittle and Ryan Bittle.

He was a retired Lt. Colonel with the United States Army serving during Desert Storm. He was also a retired Supervisor with the Veterans Administration. He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Sandersville, Georgia.
