Herbert Roy Burgamy

Mr. Herbert Roy Burgamy, age 67, of Sandersville died Saturday, September 24, 2011, in a Macon hospital following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday September 29th in the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sandersville. The Rev. Andy Wallace will officiate with burial in the Washington County Memorial Gardens
with Military Honors.

Mr. Burgamy was a native of Washington County, Georgia, the son of the late Herbert Jefferson Burgamy and the late Lois Hodges Burgamy. He was a retired Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force with twenty three years of service. He was a veteran of the Viet Nam Conflict. Mr. Burgamy was a salesperson with Lowe Electric. He was a member and past president of the American Legion.

Survivors are his wife, Concetta Sites Burgamy of Sandersville, a daughter, Theresa Lynn Burgamy White and her husband, Cecil of Kathleen, a son Robert Eric Burgamy and his wife Melanie of Sandersville, three sisters, Virginia Ivey and her husband Roger of Sandersville, Juanita Askew and her husband Winston of Bartow and Betty Grace Swann and her husband Al of McCormick, SC, five grandchildren, Jace White, Kyle White, Austin Burgamy, Maegan Faglier, Andrew Williford, a great-granddaughter, Chesnie Faglier, several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday.
