Mr. Armstrong was born November 2, 1936, the son of the late Frank Reese Armstrong, Sr. and the late Leo English Armstrong. He was a lifelong resident of Sandersville and a graduate of Sandersville High School. Mr. Armstrong was an extremely talented man, who was good at almost everything he set out to accomplish. He cherished his animal companions, especially his dog “Scout.” His most treasured time was spent with his family, whom he cared for above and beyond, making sure they always had all that they wanted and needed. Mr. Armstrong was a member of Sandersville United Methodist Church

Mr. Armstrong is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 64 years, Martha Wilson Armstrong; daughter. Patrice A. Amerson, of St. Simons; son, Jimmy Armstrong, and his wife Dianna of Sandersville; and grandsons, Michael Amerson and Wilson Armstrong.
