Mr. Daniel was a lifelong resident of Washington County, the son of the late Chester Arthur Daniel and the late Kate Brookins Daniel. He was a man of duty and service, serving his country in the US Army and GA National Guard, and his community for over 42 years as a member of the Washington County Board of Commissioners, first as district one commissioner, and then as Chairman of the Board. Mr. Daniel enjoyed being outdoors, whether working with his cows, or goats, deer hunting or gardening, especially potatoes. He also possessed a great sense of humor and would tell a joke to anyone who would listen. Mr. Daniel was genuine, and a man of his word. His greatest love in life was his family. He was a member of ACCG (Association County Commissioners of Georgia). In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Thomas Daniel, Francis Dollar, W.C. Daniel, Eugenia Shirley, and Forace M. Daniel.
Mr. Daniel is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Ann Daniel; daughters, Kimberly Daniel of Warthen, and Camille Daniel Murner (Kevin) of Milledgeville; son, Mel Daniel (Karen) of Warthen; grandchildren, Ivey Benson (Allen), Magan Bell (Kerry), Bivins Miller (Danielle), Harley Miller (Mallory), Farrer Peeler (Joshua), Spencer Tyson (Taylor), Will Daniel (Talia), Ben Daniel (Bailey), and Trey Daniel; great grandchildren, Hunter Benson, Reagan Benson, Brystal Benson, Walker Bell, Carson Bell, Chloe Miller, Molly Miller, Lucy Miller, Kallie Miller, Kelsie Miller, Camryn Miller, Charley Ann Peeler, Emma Lee Peeler, Baylor Daniel, Maya Daniel, Aubrie Daniel, and Levi Daniel; and brother, Charles Daniel (Connie).
