Hubert L. Jackson

Mr. Hubert L. Jackson, age 93, of Riddleville, died Tuesday, November 22, 2011. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 am at the Riddleville Baptist Church with burial in the Riddleville Cemetery. Rev. Billy King and Rev. Wade Dawson will officiate. Pallbearers will be Ralph Jackson, Henry Jackson, Ronald Jackson, J.H. Jackson, Wayne Jackson, Bruce Jackson, Lamar Jackson and Barry Daniel. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Men’s Sunday School Class of the Riddleville Baptist Church.

Mr. Jackson was born in Washington County the son of the late William Henry Jackson and the late Willie Mae Hartley Jackson. His worked spanned fifty plus years as a petroleum deliveryman beginning his work with Brantley’s Standard Oil, then for Kay Oil Company and retiring from Atkinson Oil Company. Mr. Jackson was a longtime and faithful member of the Riddleville Baptist Church where he was a Church Deacon, a member of the Men’s Brotherhood and the Men’s Sunday School Class. He was a US Army veteran of WWII.

Survivors are; his wife of 63 years, Carol Jones Jackson, children, Ricky H. Jackson (Gail) and Donna J. Snell (Danny) all of Riddleville, grandchildren, Shanna J. Daniels (Mark), Kevin H. Jackson, Dana S. Bussell (Clay), Deanna S. Perryman (Justin), Darin Hall (Vanessa) and Michael Hall (Terri) and great- grandchildren, Jacob Daniels, Justin Daniels, Cole Bussell, Tucker Bussell, Parker Perryman, Lauren Hall and Anna Reece Hall.

The family will be at the Jackson residence, 620 Riddleville-Mt. Moriah Road, in Riddleville and will receive friends Thursday from 3 to 5pm at the May and Smith Funeral Home.
