Ms. Idanne Schreiber Buhler, age 83, of Sandersville, died Friday, October 4, 2019 at Heritage Inn following an extended illness. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 8 th at 11:00 a.m. at Sandersville United Methodist Church. Reverend Stan Littleton and Reverend Jimmy Duke will officiate. The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service in the SUMC’s Heritage Hall.
Ms. Buhler was born in Gooding, Idaho, the daughter of the late Earl Schreiber and the late Florence Wasson Schreiber. She possessed a lifetime love of music and studied music at the University of Idaho. After locating to Sandersville in 1975, Ms. Buhler began a long career as a piano teacher, teaching many local children to play. She was an active member of Sandersville United Methodist Church where she worked as the Church Secretary. She was a member of the church’s adult choir and bell choir. Idanne was an active member with the United Methodist Women and the Sandersville Music Club. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Nancy Buhler.
Survivors include her children, Susan B. Black and her husband Bill, Mike Buhler all of Sandersville and Stacey B. Henderson of Chatsworth; grandchildren, Brandon Durden and his wife Kathryn, Travis Durden and his wife Angie, Brittany Black of Orlando, FL and Rachel Massingill and her husband Nathaniel of Dalton; great grandchildren, Hannah Durden, Ivey Durden, Will Durden, Jackson Durden and John Durden; and her brother, Bob Schreiber and his wife Carol of American Falls, ID.
The family will be at the residence of Susan and Bill Black at 848 Sparta Rd, Sandersville.
