Imogene Corey Butler

Mrs. Imogene Corey Butler, age 93, of Sandersville, died Saturday, December 10, 2016, at Oconee Nursing Home in Oconee. A graveside funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 13th at 3:00 p.m. at the Ephesus Church Cemetery in Bulloch County. Reverend Joe Eason and Reverend Wayne Brown will officiate.

Mrs. Butler was born and reared in Savannah, the daughter of the late Solomon William Corey and the late Jeanette Smiley Corey. She was a charter member of the Bull Street Baptist Church in Savannah and she was a current member of the First Baptist Church of Sandersville. Mrs. Butler was a homemaker and formerly resided in Savannah, Macon and Statesboro. She is predeceased by her husband William Henry Butler Sr.

Survivors include; her children, Linda B. Melton and her husband James of Stone Mountain, Patricia B. Brown and her husband Larry of Douglasville, and Bill Butler Jr. and his wife Linda of Douglas; 13 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; 12 great great grandchildren and 2 great great great grandchildren.

The family will greet friends following the graveside service on Tuesday.
