Inez Franks Thiele

Mrs. Inez Franks Thiele, age 94, of 234 North Harris Street in Sandersville died Tuesday, September 6, 2011 in the Extended Care Facility in Sandersville following an extended illness.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday September 9th in the Sandersville United Methodist Church with burial in the Brownwood Cemetery in Sandersville. Rev. Jimmy Cason and Rev. Joe Buck will officiate. Pallbearers will be Sam Smith, Bill Wiggins, Bob Wynne, Clyde Wright, Randy Mayberry, Wendell Tompkins, Ben Tarbutton III and Ray Hollingsworth.

Mrs. Thiele was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County, the daughter of the late Walter Franks and the late Ida Daniels Franks. She was the wife of the late Robert William Thiele. Mrs. Thiele was a former member of the Board of Directors of Thiele Kaolin Company. She was a homemaker and a retired bookkeeper for Washington Electric Membership Corporation. Mrs. Thiele was an active member of the Sandersville United Methodist Church and the Clara Park Circle. Mrs. Thiele was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Daughters of the American Colonist, the Sorosis Club of Sandersville and the Sandersville Garden Club.

Survivors are her son, Robert William Thiele, Jr. and his wife Robin of Savannah, four grandchildren, Robert William Thiele III, Rachel Inez Thiele McCoy, Rebecca Hope Thiele, and Ruth Marie Thiele McGraw. The family would also like to thank her cherished caregivers Joann Thomas, Louise James, Ida Freeman, Linda Thomas, Eugenia Cummings, Tammy Hall, Nivetta Rogers, Betty Butts, and Ethel Davis.

The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. on Thursday.
