J. Larry Clarke

Mr. J. Larry Clarke, age 77, of Mitchell, died on Sunday, June 7, 2020 at University Hospital in Augusta following an extended illness. Graveside services for Mr. Clarke will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 10 at Camak Cemetery in Camak, Georgia. Reverend Mike Jones will officiate.

Mr. Clarke was the son of the late John Culver Clarke and the late Bernice Wyatt Clarke. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Clarke and two sisters, Emily Clark Minshew and Carolyn Clarke Wyche. He had lived at Hamburg State Park for most of his life and was a graduate of Sparta High School. Mr. Clarke was a graduate of Abraham Baldwin College and the University of Georgia with a Bachelors Degree in Forestry. Mr. Clarke was a registered forester and timber cruiser.

Survivors are his sisters, Sara Kay Clark of Mitchell and Ann Clarke Dunaway of Caseadaga, FL,; brother, Ned W. Clarke of McDonough; and several nieces and nephews.
