Jack Sellars

Mr. Jack Sellars, age 66, of Graniteville, SC., passed away Thursday, November 4, 2021 in an Augusta Hospital.  A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held on Tuesday, November 9th at 2:00 p.m. in May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel.  Reverend Bobby Williford will officiate.  The family will great friends from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Jack was born and reared in Washington County, the son of the late Thomas L. Sellars and the late Rosalie S. Sellars.  He joined the US Army where he served his country and completed his education.  Jack began his working career with Lapp Insulator in Sandersville prior to beginning a 34-year career with Lehigh Portland Cement Company in Richmond, Virginia where he retired as a terminal manager.  He loved being outdoors, fishing and working with his hands.  Traveling to the mountains and the beach were some of his favorite things to do.  He and his wife Dale retired to Graniteville to be near his pride and joy, his granddaughter, Cassie.  In addition to his parents, Jack is predeceased by his siblings, Jackie Sellars, Otis Leon "Bubba" Sellars, Faye Sellars, Shirley Sellars, Nick Sellars, Wanda Sellars and Lynn Sellars.

Survivors include his wife, Abbie Dale S. Sellars of Graniteville S.C.; children, Tabitha Sellars (Trey Rogers) of Edgefield, S.C., and Jack "Jay" Sellars, Jr.; granddaughter, Cassidy Breeanne "Cassi" Rogers; brother, Donald Sellars; and nieces and nephews.
