James C. Carrington, Sr.

Mr. James C. Carrington, Sr., age 79, of 291 Anderson Lane in Sandersville died Monday August 22, 2011 at his residence following an extended illness. A memorial service for Mr. Carrington will be held at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 24th, in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Sandersville. The family will receive friends at the church from 2:00 P.M. until the hour of service.

Mr. Carrington was a native of Bulloch County, Georgia, the son of the late Harold Franklin Carrington and the late Lettie Elizabeth Morrison Carrington. He had resided in Sandersville for many years and was a retired Executive Director for the Sandersville Housing Authority. Mr. Carrington was the minister of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Sandersville for many years.

Survivors are his wife, Janet Carrington of Sandersville, a son, James C. Carrington, Jr. and his wife Nichole of Sandersville, his grandchildren, Victoria Carrington, Brett Carrington, and Sydney Carrington all of Sandersville, a sister, Nellie Ruth Carrington of Brooklet and a brother, Harold Carrington of Brooklet.

The family requests donations be made in memory of Mr. Carrington to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1567 Ridge Road, Sandersville, Georgia 31082.
