James Troy Davis

Mr. James Troy Davis, age 66 of Sandersville passed away on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Navicent Health in Macon.  A graveside funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in Zeta Cemetery in Tennille.  Reverend Fred Morrison will officiate.

Mr. Davis was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County. The son of the late William Thomas Davis, Jr. and the late Sybil Hayes Davis. Mr. Davis was a former employee of Lapp Insulator and he retired from Farmers Furniture. He loved to fish, ride his Harley, and enjoyed trips to Popeyes Chicken. Back in his younger days he loved Cowboy Bills and Southern Flite Band where he could be seen helping them sell their merchandise.  According to his family, he cooked the best collards around.  He loved his family and enjoyed visits from his children.

Mr. Davis is survived by his fiancé, Paula Renee Hosey; sons, Eric Davis, Dallas Randolph both of Tennille, and Dillon Randolph of Sandersville; grandchild, Ella Mae Randolph; brothers, Cecil Davis and his wife Penny of Tennille, Roy Davis, and Ray Davis both of Sandersville; his dog, Crissy.
