James Warren Hall Jr., lovingly known as Jim or Uncle Jimmy, 78, of Cumming, GA, peacefully entered the presence of his Lord and Savior on Saturday, June 27, 2026, following a short illness.
Jim was known for his generous heart, steady character, and willingness to lend a helping hand. Whether sharing a laugh, offering his one-of-a-kind witty advice, or simply being there when someone needed him, Jim left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. Jim lived with humility, integrity and compassion. His greatest testimony was not only in the words he spoke but in the life he lived.
Jim was born in Sandersville, GA, and before graduating from Washington County High School, distinguished himself as a competitive golfer. He earned a degree in business from Furman University and moved to Atlanta. His love of golf led him to purchase a driving range in Greenville, South Carolina, which he owned and operated for several years until he moved back to the Atlanta area. Jim landed at FATS in 1990, later known as Meggitt Training Systems and currently, InVeris Training Solutions. He was the Vice-President, Administration and Human Resources, until his retirement there in 2017. But Jim was not the retiring type and opened his own business, Jim Hall Associates, an executive recruiting and staffing company. He also returned to his roots, pursuing a dream at the family’s farm that he owned in Harrison, Georgia. Along with his wife, they raised commercial cattle, with nearly 100 head of beef.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James Warren Hall, Sr. and Wynelle Smith Hall, and Joe Hall, his treasured brother.
He is survived by his wife, the love of his life, Capricia “Cappy” Hall of Cumming, sister-in-law, Cathy Hall of Lilburn, nephews James Joseph Hall (Katie) and John Crider Hall (Hannah) of Atlanta, and his niece, Lane Elizabeth Hall of Buford.
Jim cherished his family, and it was a big one! He was the uncle, the in-law, the friend, the neighbor who always showed up and he will be greatly missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the near future - details will be provided for family and friends.
