James Harry Kitchens

November 21, 1932 — April 3, 2010

Mr. James Harry Kitchens, age 77. of 655 E J Lane in Riddleville died Saturday April 3 at his residence following an extended illness.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday April 6 in the Riddleville Cemetery.
The Rev. Billy King will officiate.

Mr. Kitchens was a native of Hancock County, Georgia, the son of the late Aaron Cone Kitchens and the late Thelma Nina Raley Kitchens. He was a retired equipment operator for Howard Sheppard Inc. Mr. Kitchens was a member of the Riddleville Baptist Church and an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.

Survivors are his wife, Dora Brantley Kitchens of Riddleville, a son, Harold Moats and his wife Jeni of Tennille, his daughters, Carol Smith and her husband Jimmy of Riddleville, and Glynda Thompson and her husband Tommy of Sandersville, a sister, Jane Townsley of Thompson, fifteen grandchildren, Christopher Smith, Tristan Smith, Shawn Lindsey, Seth Lindsey, Brian Lindsey, Kyle Woods, T. J. Thompson, Roby Aycock, Jarrod Willis, Richie Aycock, Pam Smith, Sherrie Woods, Renae Willis, Gina Sheppard, Amanda Johnson and Samantha Hudson, twenty one great grandchildren, a niece, Cassie Reese, two great nieces, Michenzie Reese and Michala Reese and his beloved pets, LuLu and Liza Jane.

The family suggests that donations be made to United Hospice, 667 South Main Street, Swainsboro, Georgia 30401. The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. on Monday.
