James Albert Mooney, Jr

James Albert Mooney, Jr., 79, of Stone Mountain, Georgia, passed away peacefully on December1, 2016 in his home surrounded by loved ones after a long battle with cancer. Born in West PalmBeach, FL, Jim was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Jim majoredin Bible and History at Belhaven College and was an analyst with IBM for 30 years. He wasdeeply involved in his church and was the hands and feet of Christ to many. He was a privatepilot who loved airplanes, technology, nature, animals and his many friends. Jim is survived byhis loving wife, Barbara Holmes Mooney, daughter, Beverly Mooney (Carmen Morales), son,Vincent (Wendy) Mooney, daughter, Stephanie (Ron) Wood, daughter Shannon Goad, sister,Mary Jean (George) Hyde, brothers Kenny (Harriet), Jay (Jenny), Claude (Debbie), and sixgrandchildren. Services will be at 4 pm at Lilburn Alliance Church, 5915 Lawrenceville Hwy,Tucker, GA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lilburn Alliance Church.
