James L. Screws

Mr. James L. Screws, age 75, of Vinson Hwy. in Hardwick, died Tuesday, November 30, 2010. Graveside funeral services will be held on Friday, December 3rd at 2:00pm at the Brownwood Cemetery in Sandersville. Rev. Donnie Screws will officiate.

Mr. Screws was born in Jefferson County the son of the late Gordon D. Screws and the late Tillie Osborne Screws. He was employed by J.P. Stevens and retired from Forstmann as a maintenance
worker. Mr. Screws was predeceased by his wife Mary K. Screws.

Survivors are; children, Robin S. Osborne (Walter) and Charles Screws (Teresa) all of Milledgeville, five grandchildren, brothers, Robert Screws (Aver Lee) of Macon, Gordon Screws of Gibson, Jimmy Screws (Ruby) of Sandersville, Lant Screws (Faye) of Tennille, and sisters, Juanita S. Bryan of Swainsboro, Jewell S. Gunn of Jacksonville, FL., and Tillie S. Williams (Harry) of Tennille.

The family will be at the residence of Jimmy and Ruby Screws 3867 Ridge Rd. in Sandersville and will receive friends Friday from 11:00am until noon at May and Smith Funeral Home.
