Jane Jolley Webster

July 5, 1925 — April 29, 2020

Sparta

Jane Jolley Webster, age 94, of Sparta, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2020.  A native of Dexter and Laurens County, Georgia, Mrs. Webster was the daughter of the late Oscar Kirkham Jolley and the late Mary Cannon Jolley.  She was married to her loving husband, the late Fred K. Webster, Jr, for 66 years.

Mrs. Webster served as administrative support for the Veterans Hospital in Dublin, Sparta Baptist Church and the Soil Conservation Service in Milledgeville, Georgia.  She was an active and dedicated member of the Sparta Baptist Church and her WMU Circle.  Mrs. Webster was devoted to her family, her church, and following the Georgia Bulldogs with her husband.

Survivors include her sons, Fred K. Webster III and his wife Beth of Sparta, and Oscar Webster and his wife Julie of Watkinsville; her grandsons, Keith Webster and his wife Katie, and Will Webster and his wife Kellie, all of Sparta; 4 great-grandchildren, also of Sparta.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Webster is preceded in death by siblings:  Max Jolley of Marietta, GA; Kirkham Jolley of Dublin, GA; Harry Jolley of Augusta, GA; Jack Jolley of Chester, GA; and Dorothy Williams of Rincon, GA.

The family would like to acknowledge Mrs. Webster’s loving and dedicated caregivers: Catherine Lamar, Dorothy Lamar, Shadiamond Harden, Brenda Culver, Lynn Andrews, and Brenda Heath.

Due to the current health situation, a private graveside service for immediate family will be held in Brownwood Cemetery in Sandersville, Georgia.

The family suggest donations be made to the Sparta Baptist Church, P.O. Box 428, Sparta, GA 31087, or to John Hancock Academy, P. O. Drawer E, Sparta, GA 31087.
