Jarad Elvis Mccoy

Mr. Jarad Elvis McCoy, age 37 of Warthen, passed away on Monday, April 22, 2024, at Atrium Health in Macon. A funeral service to celebrate his life will be held on Friday, April 26, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel at May and Smith Funeral Home with Reverend Dr. Tom Akins officiating along with family and friends sharing remarks. Interment will follow the service at the McCoy Family Cemetery on Lamars Creek Road. Pallbearers will be Ridge McCoy, Cody Birdwell, William Davis, Josh Finch, Jeffrey Torrance, Brandon Tucker, and Michael Robinson. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 25, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Jarad was born in Milledgeville, the son of Donna Hudson McCoy and the late Elvis Edison McCoy. He was a heavy equipment operator for Keg Creek Timber. Jarad possessed a wonderful, and sometimes sarcastic sense of humor, and he found great pleasure in helping others. Jarad spent much of his life involved with dirt track racing.  He enjoyed being around people, and listening to all kinds of music, especially Country. He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.

Jarad is survived by his mother, Donna Hudson McCoy of Warthen; fiancé, Shelley Janes of Dudley; brother, Jammy McCoy, and his wife Shelena of Sandersville; nephew, Ridge McCoy and his fiancé Madison Brown; nieces, Emalee McCoy and Bailee McCoy; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

The family will be at the home of Donna McCoy on Walker Dairy Road in Warthen.
