Jason McNally Smith, age 41, of Gainesville, died Saturday, June 1, 2013 in Gainesville. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 4th at 2:00pm at the Tennille United Methodist Church with burial in the Zeta Cemetery. Reverend Jeff Cook and Reverend David Walters will officiate.
Jason was born in Milledgeville and reared in Tennille. He was a graduate of Brentwood School a member of the Class of 1989 and a member of the Tennille United Methodist Church. Jason worked as the beverage manager at Locos Grill in Gainesville. He had a lifelong passion for music and worked as a musician with a number of bands both in Gainesville and while living on the west coast. Jason is predeceased by his grandfathers, Lloyd C. McNally and W.B. “Bobby” Smith, Jr.
Survivors are: his mother and father, Joan and Clint Smith; his brother, Will Smith all of Tennille; his sister Kathleen (James) McKinley of Shrewsbury, MA; nieces Madison and Megan McKinley; his grandmothers, Joan McNally of Sandersville and Mary Eva Smith Rowley of Tennille; and his aunt and uncle, Judy and Carl McNally.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 5 to 7pm at the May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville.
