Jean Carey Bridges

Mrs. Jean Carey Bridges, age 76, of McDaniel Drive in Sandersville, died Wednesday, September 23, 2009. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 26th at 2:00pm at the Kendall Heights Church of God with burial in Zeta Cemetery in Tennille. Rev. Bobby Williford and Rev. Stacey Williford will officiate. Pallbearers will be Billy Lanthrip Jr., Emmet Lanthrip, Curtis Edwards, Chris Edwards, Greg Hodges, Matthew Brynteson, Al Brynteson, Michael Barnes and Bennett Barnes.

Mrs. Bridges was born in Laurens County the daughter of the late Issac Thomas Carey and the late Martha Lucille Kennedy Carey. She was a homemaker and member of the Kendall Heights Church of God. Mrs. Bridges is predeceased by a daughter Annette Bridges.

Survivors are her husband Lowell H. Bridges of Sandersville, children, Betty Lanthrip (Billy) of Sandersville, Geraldine Hodges (Greg) and Linda Sue Batten (Danny) all of Tennille, Barbara Elliott (Marshall) of Davisboro and Sherry Brynteson (Al) of Sandersville, 16 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, a brother Robert Carey and a sister Florence C. Register both of Milledgeville.

The family will be at the Lanthrip residence 345 Archer Road Sandersville and will receive friends Friday from 6 to 8pm at the May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville.
