Mrs. Jean J. Chapman, age 79, of Davisboro, died Friday, April 6, 2018, at her residence. A graveside funeral service will be held on Monday, April 9 th at 2:00 p.m. in the Riddleville Cemetery in Riddleville. Reverend Dewey Henderson will officiate. Pallbearers will be Carl Chapman, Daniel Anderson, Zachary Ford, Will Oliver, Justin Garrett, Austin Garrett and Stone Chapman.
Mrs. Chapman was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County, the daughter of the late Fred Johnson and the late Mabel Shurling Johnson. She was a homemaker and a member of Davisboro Baptist Church. Mrs. Chapman enjoyed reading and working with and growing flowers at her home. Most of all, Jean treasured family and cherished time spent raising grandchildren.
Survivors are, her husband, Hugh Chapman; children, Freddie Chapman of Davisboro, Melanie C. Ford and her husband Mike of Richmond VA., Tim Chapman of Davisboro, Kim C. Anderson and Susan C. Garrett and her husband Scotty all of Riddleville; grandchildren, Kimberly Ford, Carl Chapman and his wife Melissa, Daniel Anderson and his wife Meredith, Emily Chapman, Zachary Ford, Sydney Oliver and her husband Will, Justin Garrett, Austin Garrett and Stone Chapman; and great granddaughter, Henlee Chapman.
The family will be at the Chapman residence on Heards Bridge Road.
