Jeanette Jones Snider

Mrs. Jeanette Jones Snider, age 84, of Sandersville, died on Saturday, July 13, 2019, in an Augusta hospital. Funeral services for Mrs. Snider will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, July 16 at Sisters Baptist Church in Sandersville.  Reverend Jason Logins will officiate.  Burial will be in the Mill Creek Baptist Church Cemetery for family only.

Mrs. Snider was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County, the daughter of the late Ray Gilmore Jones and the late Grace Tanner Jones. She was the wife of the late Marion Snider and was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Upshaw and Martina Hodges. She was a graduate of the Georgia School of Banking. Mrs. Snider was a retired vice president and loan officer for Citizens Bank with over thirty years of service. She was a loyal member of Sisters Baptist Church.  Jeanette loved her family, her church, her many friends and especially the Lord.

Survivors are her sons, Ben L. Amerson and his wife Kim of Sandersville and Jay Amerson and his spouse Cathy of Greensboro NC; brothers, Wilbur Jones and his wife Audrey, Warren Jones and his wife Judy, Jimmy Jones and his wife Louise all of Sandersville, Danny Jones and his wife Loy of Warthen;  sister, Linda McDaniel of Sandersville; grandchildren, Benji Amerson, Kristin Hooks and Michael Amerson; four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to especially thank Diane Johnson, our loyal caregiver and Dr. Chandler McDavid who both went above and beyond their call of duty.

The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home from 4:00 until 6:00 P.M. on Monday.
