Jeanette Kitchens Taylor

Mrs. Jeanette Kitchens Taylor, age 79, of Harmony Church Road, Sandersville, passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at her residence following an extended illness. A graveside service to celebrate her life will be held on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. in Bay Springs Cemetery, in Oconee. Jerrod Courbat, Joey Kitchens, Jimmy Purser, and Chris Lanthrip will serve as pallbearers.

Mrs. Taylor was born in Oconee, the daughter of the late Robert Hilton Kitchens and the late Lizzie Mae Johnson Kitchens. She spent most of her working career as an assembly line worker in air conditioning manufacturing. Mrs. Taylor enjoyed shopping on QVC, reading, and watching Fox News. She also found pleasure in gardening and cooking before her health made those things impossible for her to do. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Scotty Taylor; and brother, Phil Kitchens.

Mrs. Taylor is survived by her children, Darryl Phillips and his wife Polly of Deepstep, Melba Courbat and her husband Jerrod of Tennille, and Melissa Bainbridge of Sandersville; grandchildren, Ashley Whitney, and Devin Courbat; great grandchildren, Tylan Whitney, Tanner Whitney, Tucker Whitney, and Grayli Wood; siblings, Dwain Kitchens, Shelby Purser, Deborah Johnson, Stanley Kitchens and his wife Mary, and Gerald Kitchens and his wife Debra.

The family suggests donations be made in Mrs. Taylor’s memory to the Jeanette Taylor Family Support Fund, P.O. Box 1016, Sandersville, GA 31082.

The family will be at the home of Melba and Jerrod Courbat on Club Forest Drive in Tennille.
