Jeanette Moats Welch

Mrs. Barbara Jeanette Moats Welch, age 75, of 201 East McCarty Street in Sandersville died Monday December 1 in an Augusta hospital following an extended illness.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday December 3 in the Brownwood Cemetery in Sandersville. The Rev. J. Emory Lindsey and Rev. William Moody will officiate.

Mrs. Welch was a native and life long resident of Washington County, the daughter of the late James Tildon Moats and the late Bernie Lee Alexander Moats. She was a retired billing clerk for the Georgia Kaolin Company. Mrs. Welch, along with her husband Frank, operated the Welch House for many years. She was a member of the White Oak Methodist Church.

Survivors are her husband, Frank Welch of Sandersville, a sister, Jewell Moats Milley of Green Acres, Fla and a brother, William H. Moats of Sandersville and several nieces and nephews.

May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville is in charge of the arrangements.

The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday December 2.
