Mrs. Jeannette S.“Jan” Taylor, age 74, of Davisboro, died Sunday, November 14, 2010 at the Washington County Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, at 11:00am at the Davisboro Baptist Church with burial in the Davisboro City Cemetery. Rev. Mike Jones will officiate. Pallbearers will be Gary Dixon, Buddy Mosley, Randy Mosley, Jeff Taylor, Tommy Dukes, Ray Taylor and Bobby Williams.
Mrs. Taylor was born in Miami Florida the daughter of the late Edward H. Schoedinger and the late Elsie Salmon Schoedinger. She was retired after 30 years of service with the Washington County Department of Family and Children Services where she currently served on its board of directors. Jan was a member of the Davisboro Baptist Church where she was a member of the Choir and former church secretary. She was an active volunteer with the Washington County Regional Medical Center Auxiliary.
Survivors are her husband William G. “Billy” Taylor Jr. of Davisboro, children, Judy A. Pate (Billy) of Davisboro, Cynthia T. Rutledge of Eatonton, Kim T. Scheel (Clyde) of Newnan and William Grady Taylor III of Davisboro, grandchildren, Jessica Barlow of Riddleville, Christopher Rutledge of Dallas TX., and Sarah Scheel of Newnan, a great grandson, Conner Gennocro and her brother Edward H. Schoedinger Jr. (Cynthia) of Hialeah FL.
The family will be at the Taylor residence and will receive friends Monday evening from 5 to 7pm at the May and Smith Funeral Home.
