Mr. Jeff “Bodean” Foster, age 55 of McDaniel Drive in Sandersville, passed away on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at Washington County Regional Medical Center after an extended illness. A celebration of life will be held by his friends and family at a later date.

Jeff was born December 8, 1966, in Griffin, Georgia. He was an electronics technician by trade and was most recently employed by Building Systems Technology in Knoxville, Tennessee. Jeff was a real-life MacGyver, who his own words “could do just about anything with a wire coat hanger, duct tape, and a shoe-string.” In addition to his unique abilities, he was an avid Georgia Bulldog and NASCAR fan who had a great passion for fishing. Jeff was also known to be a “Rambling Poet” by those who were closest to him as he would write poems and limericks and leave them in various places for his family and friends to find. Above all else, Jeff loved spending time doing the things he loved best in life with those he cherished the most, his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife, Karen Denise Foster; his sister, Nena Foster Poteet; and grandparents, Tal and Elizabeth Foster and Ray and Annice Mayo.

Survivors include, daughter, Kalin “Nikki” Foster of Knoxville, Tennessee; parents, Mike and Rachel Foster of Locust Grove; step daughters, Jenee Whiddon (Justin), Aimee Shelton (Austin) both of Sandersville, and Journee Clouse of Sevierville, Tennessee; step son, Cameron Clouse, of Sparta, Tennessee; ex-wife and mother of his daughter, Candie Foster of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee; special friends, Brain Avant, Donnie Tyree, Shannon Anderson, Scott McConney, and Wayne Edwards; and many other family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest taking time to go fishing in your favorite fishing hole in Jeff’s memory.
