Jeffrey Thomas Blue

Jeffrey Thomas “Jeff” Blue, age 58, of Sandersville, died Saturday, June 27, 2015. A graveside funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 30th at 11:00 a.m. at the Washington County Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Reverend Danny Thomas and Reverend Larry Glover will officiate.

Jeff was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County. He formerly worked in maintenance for Thiele Kaolin Company and he was a member of the Tabernacle United Methodist Church. Jeff was a lover of nature and enjoyed the outdoors. He was a member of the A.H. and Ox Bow Hunting Club. Jeff is predeceased by his wife Gail Cheely Blue and his mother Frances Todd Blue.

Survivors are: his children, Amanda B. Simpson and her husband Christopher of Wadley, and Jeffrey Lamar Blue of Sandersville; grandchildren, Jeremy Simpson, Raygan Simpson, Rachel “Lulu” Simpson, Grayce Simpson and Mary Elizabeth McNeely; his father, Thomas Lamar Blue of Davisboro; brothers, David Blue and his wife Vicki, and Mike Blue and his wife Judy all of Tennille, and Scott Blue of Davisboro; and sisters, Susan B. Starley of Milledgeville and Janet B. Strickland and her husband Frankie of Tennille.

The family will be at the Thames residence 12311 Hwy. 24 East Davisboro and they will receive friends on Monday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville.
