Jennie Summerlin Wommack

Mrs. Jennie Summerlin Wommack, age 78, of 2270 Wommack Brantley Road in Tennille died on Monday, September 17, 2012, at the Medical Center in Macon, Georgia. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 19th, in the Zeta Cemetery in Tennille with Rev. Robert Woods and Rev. Jim Dominey officiating.

Mrs. Wommack was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County, the daughter of the late Thomas Hardeman Summerlin and the late Susie Mayo Summerlin. Mrs. Wommack was the wife of the late Cecil Wayne Wommack and was also preceded in death by a son, Levi Joseph Wommack. She was a homemaker and a member of the Piney Mount United Methodist Church.

She is survived by two sons, Gregory Thomas Wommack of Tennille and Cecil Wayne Wommack, Jr. and his wife Linda of Columbus, two daughters, Susie Wommack May and her husband Sammy of Tennille, and Louise Wommack Davis and her husband Ken of Tennille, a daughter in law, Debra Singleton Wommack of Demopolis, Al. She had six grandchildren, Timothy Wayne May and his wife Stephanie of Tennille, Suzann Wommack Hughes and her husband Adam of Demopolis, Al, Sylvia Alyse Wommack of Demopolis, Al., Erica May Ingram and her husband Joel of Sandersville, Jennie Avery May, and Alan Davis of Tennille. Also surviving are nine great grandchildren, Madelyn Grace May, Wilson Wommack May, McKenna Kate May, Mason Hughes, Miller Hughes, Chase Lindsey, Madison Davis, Khelton Ingram and Hillaree Ingram.

The family will receive friends at the residence on Tuesday.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Piney Mount United Methodist Church Playground Fund, P. O. Box 1061, Sandersville, Georgia 31082.
