Jenny O'Quinn Franklin

Jenny O'Quinn Franklin, age 72, of Walden Road in Sandersville, died Thursday, December 19, 2024, at her residence following an extended illness.  A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, December 21st at 11:00 a.m. at the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel.  Reverend Rick Tooley will officiate.   Jenny's family will receive friends on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Jenny was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County, daughter of the late William Bryant O'Quinn and the late Mildred Harrington O'Quinn.  She grew up the Deepstep area and graduated from Washington County High School in 1970 and attended College at Georgia Military College in Milledgeville.  Jenny began her working career with Lapp Insulator where she worked in human resources for the duration of the business.  She then transitioned to Franklin Propane where she worked until her retirement.  Jenny loved being at home working in her yards, cooking, sewing and knitting.  In addition to her parents, she is also predeceased by her husband Benjamin William Franklin, and brother, Victor Bryant O'Quinn.

Survivors include, her children William Smith and his wife Ashia of Augusta and Sharon Franklin of Charleston, SC; grandchildren, Abbie Smith, Allie Smith and Charlie Smith; sisters Sandra Bowen and her husband Donnie of Tennille, and Faye Pennington.
