Jere Dukes Tapley

Mr. Jere Dukes Tapley, age 82, formerly of Swainsboro and Milledgeville, died Wednesday, January 19, 2022.

Mr. Tapley was born on November 10, 1939 the son of the late Dukes Tapley and the late Emmie Chamber Tapley. He was reared in Milledgeville, where he graduated high school at GMC. Jere spent much of his working career in sales with McGaw Industries prior to working in personnel for Concord Textiles. Later in life, he operated his own business selling uniforms. Jere loved to fish and hunt.

Survivors include his sons, Kenneth Tapley and his wife Deborah of Milledgeville and Kelly Tapley of Gordon; grandchildren, Shawn Tapley and Stacy Denton; six great grandchildren and other extended family.
