Jerry Grady Davis

Mr. Jerry Grady Davis, Sr., age 74, of Ellington Rd, Hiawassee, GA passed away peacefully on Saturday July 27, 2024, at his home following an extended illness.  Mr. Davis was born on May 7, 1950, in Washington County, GA, the son of the late Joe Brown Davis and the late Mary Francis Johnson Davis.  Jerry was raised in Sandersville, GA but has lived in Hiawassee for the last thirty-four years.  He was a Vietnam-era veteran.  After retiring from surveying with Patterson & Dewar Inc., Jerry continued with his passion of being a mechanic and opened his own small engine repair shop which he operated for years.  Mr. Davis is preceded in death by his parents, a son, Jerry Davis, Jr., and father-in-law, Buster Yarbrough.  Jerry was of the Methodist faith.

Surviving Mr. Davis are his loving wife and best friend of thirty-eight years, Patsy Yarbrough Davis of Hiawassee, GA, three sons, Jason (Katina) Davis of Macon, GA, Matthew (Krystal) Davis of Hiawassee, GA, Joey (Tasha) Davis of Hiawassee, GA, nine grandchildren, Ashton, Hunter, Tristan, Connor, Makayla, Dakota, Mason, Katie, Madison, his mother in law, Mary Jane Johnson Yarbrough, many other relatives and friends also survive.

Per Mr. Davis’s wishes, no services are planned at this time.
